A personal pet peeve of mine are those cataloguers who are still thinking like we’re using the Card Catalogue system. It’s all online people, you don’t have to worry about saving space! Put as much information in as you can!

Since I’m working now part-time as a cataloguer, I’m refreshing my knowledge of cataloguing and by doing so, becoming familiar again with copy cataloguing.
What I’d like to know is, why do so many cataloguers leave out the 020 field?
