Impressive Libraries from History
Out of the blue I received an email from Mark Spicer who publishes The News in Print. He asked if I would consider talking about a recent article he put up about The 7 Most Impressive Libraries From Throughout History.
I thought, why not? After all, one of my favourite books to read in [...]
I’ll be on CBC Whitehorse Monday morning
My employer has given me permission to be interviewed by the CBC about my pay equity experience in the workplace, so I;ve been booked for Monday morning. The CBC wants to do a spot covering that Bill C-10 passed and how it’ll affect Canadians using me as an example. Since I don’t know [...]

For librarians, I’m thinking it’s Library Juice Press.
Not sure where I heard about this, but if it was your blog, please [...]
New online certificate program for librarians
UVic is launching a Graduate Professional Certificate in Library Sector Leadership through the same department that delivers the Master of Public Administration. Looks like a great certificate to do! If my career path was management instead of academia, I would definitely enroll in this!

Lots of academic library websites have undergone big changes this summer, I’ve noticed. It’s all rather exciting! I’d like to highlight the best I’ve seen. I’m also going to do what I can to try and implement a of them for my own library’s website!
